For Rosella’s birthday this year, we headed up to Willow Flats. She loves to camp and that is her annual birthday wish! This year, she turned 71 and the camping trip was worthy of this special event.
We stayed in Rosella and Lynn’s trailer and the Watson’s stayed in their new trailer. A day or so into the trip, the battery died in the trailer… we all tried to help Annette get it working (Mike wasn’t there the whole time as he had to work). We went into Preston and bought a new one. While we were in town, we got snow cones! But that wasn’t the only snow we saw on the trip. Even though it was June, it got so cold at night, it actually snowed.
The area had several dirt roads for the ATVs. The girls learned to ride with Carolyn and they had a blast taking us for rides. During one of Annette’s walks, KC ran away. We frantically looked everywhere for her… and found her, running wild and having a blast in the wilderness!
We had a great time, played cards each night, ate s’mores, and just enjoyed everyone’s company.
